Step 1: Create a return
Create the return you will use for the split.
Step 2: Go to Main Info
Open the return and navigate to the Main Info section.
Step 3: Enter taxpayer and spouse details
Enter First name, Last name, and SSN for each Taxpayer and Spouse.
Step 4: Go to File Split MFJ Return
Select File Split MFJ Return.
Step 5: Close the return
Close the return after the split is completed.
✅ Success!
You should now have two returns in your returns list, one for each spouse.
